What we do

We provide tailormade roles without the typical one-size-fits-all approach. Our speciality is flexible, adaptable and willing staff. For example, a nanny who also performs household duties, or a housekeeper who gardens, or a lifestyle manager who works across your business and private life.

Once we’ve talked to you, and established what kind of household staff or PA you require, we find the right match. 14fiftyseven also offers a continuing service. We can help carry out performance reviews and offer HR advice. Our aim is to ensure the long-term satisfaction of both employer and employee. We also seek to maximise efficiency in the way you run your household.

Who we are

Directors James Roberts and Tony Macdonald have been in recruitment since 2001 and chose to set up 14fiftyseven to provide more flexible household and PA staffing solutions. Both are internationally respected business owners, running operations worldwide. Co-director Susie Osborough is a management, hospitality and sales expert who has owned her own business and now works as a management consultant, specialising in customer relationships. She offers valuable insight into successfully hiring household staff.

Roles we offer


We offer part-time and full-time nannies. Each position is different, but we specialise in versatile staff. Those with the attitude of ‘that’s not my job’ need not apply. However, we always ensure fair work conditions.

Lifestyle Manager

This is an increasingly in-demand role. A lifestyle manager may help with work admin, home organisation, gardening, shopping, cooking, travel booking, event management and more.


We can place chefs or cooks to work within your household, whatever the size. These could be anything from an expert vegan cook, to a Cordon Bleu chef. 14fiftyseven can find the right candidate for you.
